High-Speed Production
The HP PageWide Advantage 2200 reaches speeds of up to 244 m/min (800 fpm) in Mono Performance and Performance Economy Color modes. For full-color, high-coverage applications, it delivers speeds of up to 152 m/min (500 fpm). Performance Economy Color mode is designed to increase productivity for time-critical color jobs while optimizing ink usage.
With a maximum monthly duty cycle of up to 85 million A4 mono images and up to 84 million A4 images in Performance Economy Color mode, the press is built for demanding, high-volume production environments.
Brilliant and Consistent Print Quality
HP Brilliant Ink delivers crisp images and vibrant color across a broad range of applications. The press uses HP Thermal Inkjet technology with HP High Definition Nozzle Architecture, featuring a native resolution of 2,400 nozzles per inch and 8x nozzle redundancy for reliable, consistent output.
The standard print system includes CMYK with HP Optimizer, helping maintain consistent print quality across coated and uncoated media. HP Optimizer also helps compensate for variations between paper batches.
Expanded Media Versatility
With the appropriate configuration, the HP PageWide Advantage 2200 supports media weights from 40 gsm up to 320 gsm / 18 pt. C1S, enabling production across a wide variety of applications. Compatible substrates include standard offset-coated media such as glossy, silk and matte, as well as uncoated, inkjet-treated and HP ColorPRO media.
The press supports paper widths from 203 to 558 mm (8 to 22 in), with a maximum printable width of 521 mm (20.5 in).
Efficient Drying and Optimized Energy Use
HP High Efficiency Drying (HED) technology enables high-speed production even on heavy coated media and high-coverage jobs. Depending on the press configuration, multiple HED drying modules and active or passive web cooling can be used to support different production requirements.
The drying system can also help optimize power consumption, with HP reporting up to 60% lower kWh per page under specified operating conditions.
Designed for High Uptime
The single print arch architecture incorporates a simplified paper path with fewer components, easier-access sliding doors, and a simplified printhead pocket. These design improvements increase reliability and can reduce recommended maintenance time by up to 40% compared with previous 22-inch HP PageWide presses.
