Flexo plates
Flexo plate printing forms commonly used for packaging materials (foil, paper and label, tissue paper) can be imaged with Titanium CTP or with DLE Thorium or Platinum machines according to the CTP = LAM principle + UV exposure.

Letterpress
Letterpress printing is a vanishing printing technique and is now only rarely used for printing narrow web and labels. Letterpress Printing Plates are thin plates with a foil or metal backing. The terms letterpress printing and dry offset are often confused because the metal backing plates are the same plates used for dry offset printing. Letterpress printing plates can be engraved with DLE (Thorium) or imaged using our CTP (Titanium) devices.

RotaPlate can be used for this application (plate material sealed in a round printing sleeve after exposure). A Titanium or Rhodium unit can be used to view and expose the RotaPlate.

Pad printing is used to print on uneven surfaces, indirect printing on pads (works like a pillow) is a market that has found its digitalization with DLE and mostly Titanium. Pad printing is used to visualize all kinds of products (toys, remote controls, automobile industry, promotional products such as lighters and pens).
Digital Film
Currently, digital film is widely used because there are applications where the print form cannot be displayed digitally (DLE or CTP). Digital film is basically a mask layer on top of a clear foil. The mask layer can be viewed with a CTP device. After imaging the film is ready for direct use (no washing/developing/drying required).
Relief
Rigid 'printing' plates, sleeves or rolls are used mainly for embossed effects on paper. A DLE system is needed for cots and rolls. Plates can be imaged with a CTP device, but only the DLE system offers the ability to make special 3D effects. Products known to use embossing are book covers and posters, but beverage cans can also be embossed.
