We reinforce our effectiveness in digital printing with Flexo

Seeing the demand for cardboard and flexible packaging in the printing industry, MatSet, while moving forward with its strong brand HP in digital, did not leave the conventional side empty and became the representative of Lombardi printing machines and Asahi flexo systems. The company, which appeared before its visitors with Lombardi at the last Eurasia Packaging 2019 Fair, introduced its newly launched Asahi representation to its visitors at this fair as it coincided with the pandemic process.

MatSet, one of the MatGroup companies, only showed the HP Indigo 6K digital label printing machine in operation to visitors at the Eurasia Packaging Istanbul 2021 Fair, due to the uncertainty brought by the pandemic. The machine sold will be installed after the fair.

Moreover, if we had taken a risk and brought an HP 25K 76 cm flexo packaging machine and a Lombardi machine to the fair, we would have sold them at this fair too."

Pabuççuoğlu adds that Asahi flexo plate solutions, whose quality has been proven in the world, are not well known in Turkey and that they are trying to establish the brand gradually. “Our representation was activated during the pandemic period, but we could not send our technicians to training due to the pandemic. The most important feature of MatSet is that it does not sell a brand whose technicians have not been trained, which is why the preparation period took a long time. We are a company that attaches importance to customer satisfaction.

Japanese Asahi has exposure and processing machines, water-based and solvent-based plates. There is a new mold that we will launch in Türkiye. We will not offer solvent solutions. The solvent actually disappears quickly. Europe extended its environmental decisions during the pandemic. As of January 2022, no packaging manufacturer in Turkey will be able to print with a flexo plate made with solvent. We did not invest in solvents by foreseeing this. We introduce the soap and water washing system. We installed the first machine in Izmir Lider Label. This system is a system that should be in normal label printing houses. If a company exports its products, all companies producing for that product become a link in that chain and the label must be printed accordingly.

On the digital side, HP already has certification for food compatibility. One of the advantages of working with HP is; When choosing its partners, HP chooses them based on their environmental friendliness. If you work with HP, you are already working with partners that have certification.

A new book finishing post-press machine will arrive in Ankara from China for Öz Baran Ofset. The machine comes from China, but HP Partner, its certification has already been questioned, and they also started selling it to Europe. We sell with peace of mind. This is a great luxury for us, HP checks all certifications. We don't need to check it separately.

So is Lombardi. Italians follow the processes. In flexo, customers will also pay attention to the ink they use.

This is our second year with Lombardi flexo machines. Except for Lombardi, all our machinery investments are on the digital side. The brand came to Turkey from scratch and we installed 4 machines. We are trying to gain the turnover we are losing by diversifying our range. MatSet's biggest turnover was from conventional material sales, but they are now decreasing rapidly. This is actually a late representation. Every customer to whom we sell digital must have a flexo. These are products that complement each other. We have installed 3 of the 4 machines we have sold to date to HP customers who do not have any flexo machines. with Lombardi
