Our AFP™ product family includes the following plates: AFP™-R, a solvent-washable plate with reduced environmental impact and improved prepress and print productivity; AFP™-BFTK, a ready-to-use FlatTop and high-quality solvent wash plate that improves ink distribution on wide web flexible packaging film, paper and label substrates; AFP™-Leggero for kiss touch printing on corrugated shipping boxes; AFP™-TOP premium hard CleanPrint plates providing dots to paint; AFP™-TSP, excellent plate for adhesive inks; and more.
AFP™-R
AFP™-R is a solvent-washable plate with reduced environmental impact and improved prepress and printing efficiency. This is another milestone in our sustainability journey and reinforces our commitment to continually improving product development in balance with the environment. The first plate is a rigid flexo plate for high-quality flexible packaging, label and paper applications and offers several improvements compared to the standard solvent wash plate.
AFP™-BFTK
Asahi's first FlatTop plate to include CleanPrint in the box, AFP™-BFTK plates are high-quality solvent-wash FlatTop plate solutions with best-in-class printing consistency. Wide web flexible packaging film improves ink distribution on paper and label substrate along with solid screening patterns, keeping high light spots with excellent quality. At the same time, thanks to CleanPrint technology, they keep the print quality extremely consistent by using solvent, water and UV-based ink systems without the need for any plate cleaning.
AFP™-Leggero
Excellent ink coverage with reduced corrugation marks Asahi super-soft AFP™-Leggero CleanPrint plates are specifically designed to print on corrugated shipping boxes with minimal Kiss touch pressure, eliminating crushing of the cardboard to better protect packaged products, while ensuring minimal wear for the highest quality. Provides wash and good ink coverage. .
AFP™-TOP
Premium rigid digital flexo plate This rigid, premium digital flexo CleanPrint plate offers a wide color gamut and smooth tone gradations that fade to zero. Kiss-touch print pressure facilitates repeatable print quality and less cleaning machine downtime. It is compatible with high-resolution scanning and microcell modeling technologies.
AFP™-TSP
Excellent plate for adhesive inks There are many new ink formulations being developed for a variety of printing applications such as pet food using PU type (solvent) inks, water-based laminating inks and others. The AFP™-TSP plate is a versatile plate with CleanPrint technology and has excellent properties for staying clean during operation on most substrates in flexo printing. AFP™-TSP is the perfect plate solution for most adhesive ink formulations, allowing for fewer press cleaning downtime and consistent print quality. Don't stick to what you have, stick to AFP™-TSP.
AFP™-APC/TPC
AFP™-TPC and analog AFP™-APC plates for outstanding corrugated display performance with CleanPrint were developed for the high-quality corrugated display and signage printing market where image quality is important. Die on double-groove coated liner sheet delivers exceptional image printing performance with minimal dot gain groove marking with CleanPrint technology. Switching to AFP™-APC/-TPC results in stunning print quality for “shelf-ready” packaging with rich graphic content.
AFP™-SF/DSF
Medium hard plate available for analog and digital AFP™-SF/DSF is Asahi's medium hard plate that takes print results to a new level of quality. Designed for good highlights with excellent ink transfer to all surfaces. The optimized balance of solid ink placement and highlight dot printing produces incomparably good ink coverage, with low dot gain in mid-tones and bright highlights at maximum print speeds, and is particularly suitable for flexible packaging printing on film and paper with solvent or water-based inks.
AFP™-SH/DSH
Medium hard plate available in analog and digital Asahi's AFP™-SH/DSH is a hard flexo plate available in analog and digital versions for excellent print quality and high durability. The combination of low highlight dot gain with its improved mechanical stability and excellent ink transfer behavior makes the SH/DSH plate the choice for quality printers. The AFP™-SH/DSH plate is primarily used for printing flexible packaging and labels, but is also perfect for complex jobs where quality and durability make the difference.
AFP™-VSP
Varnishing Plate for Superior Coating Quality The AFP™-VSP plate is a new varnishing plate from Asahi Photoproducts designed specifically for the offset printing and spot coating market. The demand for higher quality packaging that stands out on the shelf is driving increased interest in superior finishing techniques, including spot varnish that makes visuals stand out. Most offset presses used in packaging printing are equipped with a flexo coating station for metallic and spot varnish inks. The AFP™-VSP plate is the ideal solution to produce even higher quality output from these configurations.
AFP™-SE/DSE
Solid Photopolymer – Soft type plate AFP™-SE/DSE flexo plate, available in analog and digital, meets the most stringent quality criteria for printing corrugated cardboard, solid cardboard and heavy-duty bags. Ideal shore hardness and flexibility properties compensate for the surface roughness of the substrate. The wide exposure width of the AFP™-SE/DSE plate ensures optimal fixation of image elements such as tones and isolated lines even at a relief depth of 3 mm, while the dimensionally stable polyester base layer contributes to the ability to achieve very high quality. .
