Plate Processing & Application Guidelines
The AFP™-SH / DSH flexo plates can be processed using all Asahi AFP™ systems or equivalent equipment. The plate is back-exposed to establish the desired relief depth and maximize UV sensitivity. After removing the protective film, main exposure is carried out.
For the AFP™-D(igital)SH version, the film removal is followed by laser imaging using standard YAG, diode, or fiber lasers. The plate is then exposed, dried, and finished using UVA and UVC light to achieve optimal print-ready properties.
AFP™-SH / DSH plates are fully compatible with common UV, solvent-, and water-based inks. After printing, plates must be thoroughly cleaned. Avoid direct exposure to sunlight and heat during storage.
